Cologne's Cardinal in carnival attire
Cardinal Joachim Meisner, Archbishop of Cologne, takes part in the carnival festivities wearing a fur hat crowned with peacock's feathers.
It is his way to be in solidarity with Benedict XVI with his extravagant hats and Cardinal Karl Lehmann with his carnival spirit.
To scorn the ecclesiastical dignity seems to be a new norm
for German Prelates.
