When Will Rome Be Destroyed?
Like many Americans I find it hard to believe anything that comes out of Washington D.C. because the politicians lie so frequently. The latest fiction is that we must stop driving gas-propelled cars and adopt the Green New Deal within the next nine years. If we don't,
according to Biden, it will be too late to save the planet and all those new green jobs for those who will build solar panels and even wind mills.
Millions believe the green story, blind to the fact that adopting these policies will weaken America and destroy our military capabilities, a goal that the American Left has had for years.
There is only one problem with their prediction. God has other plans!
The Apocalypse says:
And he (an Angel) laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent,
Which is the Devil and Satan,
And bound him for a thousand years.
And he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up
And set a seal upon him,
That he should no more seduce the nations
Till the thousand years be finished. And after that,
He must be loosed a little time. (Chapter 20:2-3)
The thousand years is most likely a figure of speech for many centuries, which will start with the Universal Reign of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary, a time that is fast approaching. Before this can take place, the heads of the Church are currently under the influence of Lucifer and his minions who inspire the leaders of heresy and schism and lead them to be dominated by the Antichrist and his Fake Prophet.
God also warned us that if we do not stop sinning, great chastisements such as war, famine and pestilence will fall down upon us, a destruction greater than what the pagan Roman Empire suffered for persecuting the Church. Scriptures calls this Chastisement the Judgment of Nations.
The destruction of Rome
The destruction of Rome has been prophesied for 2000 years. Is it about to happen?
The Apocalypse of St. John's commentary by Rev E. Sylvester Berry is divided into three parts that correspond to three successive periods of the History of the Church:
I believe that we are currently living in a time very close to the Antichrist period, whose end will include the destruction of Rome.
Fr. Berry, after a careful reading of the Apocalypse, opines that the Antichrist will appear long centuries before the Last Judgment and the End of the World. The common assumption that Fr. Berry rebukes was that the Antichrist will come after the Reign of Jesus Christ, or towards the end of the 1,000 year period.
The Message of La Salette, delivered by Our Lady in the middle of the 19th century, confirms this commentary on the Apocalypse written at the beginning of the Church. The message (see here) informs us that "in the year 1864 Lucifer, together with a great number of devils, will be loosed from Hell. Little by little they will abolish the faith, even in persons consecrated to God. They will so blind them that, without special grace, these persons will take on the spirit of these evil angels. A number of religious houses will lose the faith entirely and cause many souls to be damned."
It was Christ Himself who gave the permission to release the captive angels; this shows that the enemies of the Church have no power against her unless God so permits.
In 1917 Our Lady came to Fatima to help mankind save our souls from falling into the bottomless pit in the treacherous days ahead. We assume that, because of the work of Lucifer and his devils, her message has been almost completely ignored by the Church leaders.
It started in the early 1930s when Pius XI did not respond to Our Lady’s request to consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart. Our Lord told Sister Lucy in the Apparition at Rianjo in 1931: “Make it known to My ministers that given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of my request, they will follow him into misfortune. It will never be too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.”
Later, in another communication, Our Lord complained to Lucy: “They did not want to heed My request. Like the King of France, they will repent and will do it, but it will be late. Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecution against the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer."
King Louis XVI of France lost his throne and three years later was beheaded. What are the misfortunes awaiting God’s ministers?
Future calamities
The following prophecies may help clarify the kind of punishment that awaits a world that has abandoned Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother.
St. Pius X had two visions foreboding a great punishment. In the first of 1909, the Pope appear to enter a trance during an audience granted to the general chapter of the Franciscan Order:
“What I have seen is terrifying! Will I be the one, or will it be a successor? What is certain is that the Pope will leave Rome and, in leaving the Vatican, he will have to pass over the dead bodies of his priests.”
Then, just before he died in 1914: “I have seen one of my successors, of the same name, who was fleeing over bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place but after a brief respite, he will die a cruel death. Respect for God has disappeared from human hearts. They wish to efface even God's memory. ”
Some people speculate that Pope St. Pius X's name was Giuseppe Sarto, a first name he shares with Benedict XVI, Josef. Can we conclude that Benedict XVI will fulfill the misfortune, by losing Rome and his life similar to the King of France as promised by Our Lord in 1930s for Russia not being concentrated to Our Lady? It does not seem so, since he renounced the Papacy. So, who will that Pope be?
Pope Pius X also received an apparition from Louis XVI, who told the Pope: "All who have survived will one day gather around the place where my blood was shed; in the midst of them will appear the one believed to be dead. It is he who will hold my scepter in his hand; he is the eldest after me.”
Who this successor of Louis XVI is would be is a question that lies in mystery. He, most probably will be the restorer of the throne of France.
Another enigmatic question is who will be the last Pope mentioned by St. Malachy in his famous 12th century prophecy. In effect, he affirms:
“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit Peter the Roman, who will feed his sheep in many tribulations and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed and the dreadful judge will judge his people.”
It is not likely that St. Malachy would be referring to Francis, simply because he is the one who is persecuting the true Catholic faithful. Indeed, he is doing his best to end the contemplative life and going after all religious orders that still maintain something of Tradition.
The only point that is clear is that Rome will be destroyed.
When we consider the enormous quantity of Muslim immigrants that are entering Italy, we see that at any moment they can receive an order from their muftis to put Italy in chaos and destroy Rome.
Will Rome be destroyed in 2021? Only God knows but the article “Why Did the Starlings Die in Rome?” may be indicative that something tragic will happen in Rome.
