Did God Finally Say ‘Enough’ to Francis?
My friend Jan was curious about my thoughts about the death of Francis on Easter Monday 2025. It was a surprise, the last surprise of Francis, who reveled in springing one jolt after another in his effort to destroy the Church. For me there were no tears for the man who used every opportunity he could to destroy Tradition and persecute true Catholics.
But I wonder if several of the last actions of Francis did not finally test God’s anger too much, and so He called him to judgment after that long hospital stay at Gemelli Hospital.
I am speaking about:
Only one week before Francis was admitted to Gemelli on 14 February 2025, the Vatican issued a document announcing the plan for a grand ecumenical encounter to celebrate the 1700th anniversary of the First Council of Nicaea which took place in May of 325, as Atila Guimaraes analyzed here.
The meeting in Turkey to be hold in May would gather together schismatics, heretics (Protestants from the WCC) and Francis in order to reaffirm a pretended common belief in the Nicaea Creed (In fact, Catholics believes that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, and Schismatics accept only that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father).
More significantly, according to Francis’ plan, Catholics would abandon our Gregorian Calendar and adopt the ‘Orthodox’ Julian Calendar in order to share a common date for Easter.
According to Francis, “the Catholic Church is open to accepting the date that everyone wants: a date of unity.”
It is not a date “everyone” wants. Changing the Gregorian calendar and shifting back to a calendar system that is 13 days behind it is nothing but a concession to the schismatics.
What would this mean? That Saint Days in the liturgical calendar would have to shift and be observed later? What about Christmas, which many schismatics celebrate on January 7 instead of December 25? At any rate, it would mean more change and chaos for Catholics, in the name of an "ecumenical unity" in order to please the schismatic sects.
But God did not allow Francis to make this wreckage in the Catholic Liturgical Year. It was one of Pope Bergoglio’s final affronts. On the 1700th anniversary year of the Nicaea Council, at least, the ecumenical encounter with Francis will not take place and, with his death, talk of changing calendars this May seems to be off the agenda.
‘Homosexuals’ entering Italian seminaries
In January 2025, under Francis’ lead the Vatican took another radically unorthodox action: It approved the directive of the Italian Bishops Conference (CIE) that will allow “homosexual seminary candidates” to be assessed in the same way as “heterosexual candidates.” “An orientation towards celibate life” will be required of both ‘homosexuals’ and normal men, placing the two “types” on equal footing, as if they are equal in the eyes of God and man.
The decision was announced by CIE president Card. Matteo Zuppi, who has been dubbed ‘the queer cardinal’ for his LGBT-friendly stance” and support of inclusive language and “same-sex unions.” A favorite of Francis, Zuppi is high on the list of contenders for the next papacy.
First, I disagree strongly with the term ‘homosexual,’ as if there is a genre of men whom God ‘created’ as such. God created man and woman, and not two classes of each sex. Accustoming Catholics to these terms is part of the propaganda campaign of the LGBT propaganda to destroy God’s plan of Creation.
As noted above, this new directive will officially allow a “homosexual candidate” to the priesthood so long as he observes celibacy. That is, a man will now be able to profess himself openly to be ‘homosexual’ and train as a seminarian since, according to the guidelines, the most important thing for aspiring priests is to show “an orientation towards celibate life.”
The document reads: “In the formative process [of becoming a priest], when reference is made to homosexual tendencies, it is appropriate not to reduce discernment to this aspect alone. The objective of the training for priesthood in the emotional-sexual sphere is the ability to welcome chastity in celibacy as a gift, to freely choose and to responsibly live it.”
In short, the candidates are held to one same standard of chastity. There is, however, a great difference between the the sin of fornication and the sin of sodomy. For men to have illicit relations with women is a natural albeit serious sin; on the other hand Scriptures repeatedly condemns those “who defile themselves with men"
because it is "an unnatural sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance.” (1 Tim 1:10)
Even the very weak previous Vatican statements of 2005 and 2016 state that men with deep-seated homosexual tendencies or who support the so-called "gay culture" cannot be admitted to the seminary. This attempt to justify the sin of sodomy by allowing Italian "gay" men to enter seminaries - "It’s okay as long as they are not practicing" - is an affront to God and man.
Let us not forget that the Francis papacy has been notoriously favorable to the homosexual-transgender movement, welcoming groups and individuals into the Vatican, urging “inclusiveness” at every opportunity, allowing priests to bless same-sex couples etc As recently as last June he addressed a 'homosexual' man who had been expelled from a seminary, and encouraged him to “go ahead with your vocation.” So, it is not a surprise that he would approve the Italian Bishops’ new directive.
In fact, one might justifiably state that this Vatican-approved directive on homosexual seminary candidates was intended to open a floodgate to encourage Bishops in other countries to adopt a similar protocol until it would become the norm of the Church in letter as well as in spirit.
Our Lady of Good Success told the Conceptionist nun Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres that there is a limit to the patience of God: “Know that Divine Justice releases terrible chastisements on entire nations not only for the sins of the people, but especially for those of priests and religious persons. For the latter are called by the perfection of their state to be the salt of the earth, the masters of truth, and the shields to hold back Divine Ire.” (The Admirable Life of Mother Mariana, Vol II, p. 283).
Perhaps this step – allowing Italian candidates for priesthood to profess themselves to be homosexuals – was the final stroke of iniquity that set off the Divine Ire. To demean in this way the sacral priesthood instituted by Christ may have been the limit that Our Lord would bear from the Francis papacy.

I am speaking about:
- Franics’ proposal to meet at Nicaea to change the Easter date to correspond to the so-called Orthodox Calendar, and
- The Vatican approval he gave to the Italian Bishops Conference’s directive to allow ‘non-practicing homosexuals’ to enter seminaries to train to be priests.
