The Night of Christmas
Atila S. Guimarães
The birth of the Divine Infant at night, forsaken by all the inhabitants of Bethlehem but a few shepherds, has some lessons for us, Traditional Catholics, on this Christmas in the early 21st century.
We are, without a doubt, in a deep night. The light coming from the sun of the Papacy has disappeared. The sky is dark. No more clear teachings, a lack of consistency with the previous Magisterium. Worst of all, during these last 40 years we have received from the Chair of Peter a mixture of confusion and error. Old modernist and liberal errors were resurrected by the conciliar Popes and spread broadly throughout the Catholic world in a way difficult to predict. Spread with maliciousness. The malice lies in disseminating the errors in an environment of intentional confusion. So if someone denounces an error, this confusion allows the guilty party to present a sophistic interpretation to save the appearance of orthodoxy.
The stars of the firmament of the Church – the Bishops, successors of the Apostles – no longer emit light or luster. Almost all have violated their fidelity to Catholic principles with compromises to maintain careers and comforts. Many are deeply committed to the evil ideal of Progressivism. The few exceptions are fearful to confront the higher religious authority. Night and darkness.
Only a few recognized that the future of mankind was born in a Manger. They were guided by the Star of Bethlehem - The adoration of the Magi by Giotto |
From the civil State – represented by the moon, according to many interpreters of symbolism – we have become accustomed to receive lies and demagogy. In every country, the general lines of civil legislation almost invariably favor Socialism and tolerance for immorality. In international affairs, measures support the constitution of a Masonic world government. In public affairs, the hegemony of Freemasonry and Judaism is virtually complete. With this simple formula almost everything and everyone are controlled: politics relies on the money and favors of commerce and industry; commerce and industry rely on the money and favors of the banks, and the banks rely on the money and favors of international Jewish finance. Such money and favors are very rarely conceded without a demand for increasingly serious ideological and moral compromises.
The social elites are not giving the light of good example and upright behavior as they should. What is good and honorable receives almost no prestige or fame. Instead, from these elites daily we are offered moral scandals and examples of vulgarity and egalitarianism.
The light of the sun has vanished, as well as that of the moon and the stars.
In this dark night of the Church and the State, there is only one grand star that continues to shine. It is the message of the twin apparitions of Our Lady that warned us about the crisis in the Church and State and pointed to a new era to come, the Reign of Mary, which will be built over the ruins of this progressivist Church and revolutionary State. I am referring to the revelations of Our Lady of Fatima, which foretold a great chastisement and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and those of Our Lady of Good Success, which predicted the same.
This is our star of Bethlehem that shows us where the Divine Infant is sleeping, waiting for us to pay Him our homage. Along with the incomparable homage of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her most noble spouse St. Joseph, we can also pay our homage. It can be the majestic homage of the Three Eastern Kings or the modest homage of those few shepherds of Bethlehem.
They were the only ones who understood where the future was in that dark and cold night.
