Haitian dances at Card. Gregory's Mass

On New Years Day, January 1, 2025, Card. Wilton Gregory said a Mass that also commemorated Haiti's independence from France in 1804. The Mass was said in the Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Washington, DC.

The liturgy included a choir singing local music in creole and two ensembles of Haitian dances.

Although local dances when performed outside of the church are perfectly acceptable, when they are included in the liturgy of the Mass they represent a lack of respect for the Holy Sacrament present in the Tabernacle.

It is another novelty introduced by Vatican II and the Liturgical Reform of Paul VI that must be undone when the Catholic Church will be restored from her present day usurpation by Progressivism.
