Pagan lions at the Religious Education Congress

At the opening ceremony of the 2024 Religious Education Congress in Los Angeles three Chinese lions / dragons were included to bring "good luck and prosperity" to the event and those present.

As the dialogue of the Conciliar Church evolves it is becoming increasingly syncretist.

Is this by accident or is it a planned consequence?
