Magnificat for Colombia

Our sincere congratulations & best wishes

Our sincere congratulations and best wishes to our new President Abelardo de la Espriella,

Yes, we, like all authentic Colombians, naturally rejoice over the results of the elections.

In its recent history, Colombia was, has been and we hope will return to be a Catholic country. Seventy years ago, our population was 95-98% Catholic and, for this reason, was considered the most Catholic country in the world.

Nonetheless, an entire political class and a progressivist clergy – which truly did not represent Colombia – collaborated with Communism and the Left to gradually gain terrain through socialist reforms, such as the Agrarian Reform in the 1970s. They also complied with the incipient guerilla movement, helping it grow in successive governments by giving it more and more fields of action.

Colombian Catholic Bishops

By their silence or their support, the Catholic Hierarchy in Colombia collaborated with Communism

Many times the Catholic Hierarchy tolerated and supported the same revolutionary tendencies as well as clearly revolutionary individuals. It allowed to fall into oblivion the condemnations of the past Popes that excommunicated anyone who collaborated with atheistic Communism. Its silence in the present-day decisive electoral battle was clamorous and shameful.

In this dramatic revolutionary process, the complicity of the written and spoken media, as well as social media, was and continues to be – with very few exceptions – defeatist. In today’s chaos, they have implemented various strategic maneuvers taking advantage of talismanic words to promote dialogue, peace etc.

Indeed, the clear goal of those who have participated in the gradual destruction of our country is a misleading and antinatural egalitarianism, which has been introduced through the tactic of simultaneously using fear (violence) and sympathy (dialogue). To achieve this goal they have used words such as peace, which in itself everyone desires, especially when being assaulted by crimes and violent actions, which in our case have become among the greatest in the world. From fear of violence, many erroneous concessions were made by the Peacinism, that is, the peace of cynicism. Catholic thinker Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira admirably defined these tactics and concepts.

Colombian guerilla

Colombian guerilla is strong due to the support of a leftist political class & a progressivist clergy

It comes as no surprise, therefore, that well-known organs of the national and international media, such as the German DW television chain, considered the alternative facing Colombians in its presidential election as being between “peace and the hard line.” They hide that the so-called peace of the Gustavo Petro government was nothing but an iron-fist dictatorship that reduced the people to slavery, as happened in China, Cuba and Nicaragua, and still continues to happen in Venezuela: that is, the people are entirely subjugated.

It is curious to see how the Registratura [the official ballot-counting organ] insisted on affirming that the election results were not final, when in fact they were. Such an insistence did not take place in the 2022 election when the opponent of Gustavo Petro, Rodolfo Hernandes, raised the suspicion of fraud [favoring the Left] in the first round of the election. On that occasion the Registratura did not ask to confirm the results or for a recount, although it was well-known that more than three million ballots had been fraudulently deviated.

Riches of Colombia
In contrast, the present-day results are favorable to the new president, despise the so-called shotgun-ballots used to bring power to Petro’s candidate. We should also add the fact that in five municipalities where the guerilla is strong there was not a single ballot favorable to the new president. The published account of the Registratura, therefore, deserves recognition.

Thus we have a great hope in the new government, which has promised to consecrate Colombia again to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, to lead Colombia back to its true path of authenticity and tradition. It will have all the support of those who chose to vote for the good, and not for the evil fraught with spells and witchcraft, which also found its way into the government palace.

Colombia is proud of being the country with the most Marian Sanctuaries in the three Americas through the breadth and width of their territories. With these presuppositions, the good and healthy Colombian population in all its social bodies, especially in its persecuted elites, certainly support the new government, while even the natural resources, the great gifts of God, will be at its disposition to be well used and well guided.

Congratulations, Mr. President.
