Medal of Liberty
Dear TIA,
We know that religious liberty was always condemned by the Catholic Church as a “monstrous right” leading to Religious Indifferentism (here and here). Also freedom of conscience was condemned as a "delirium" by Pope Gregory XVI, reflecting the perennial teaching of the Magisterium.
After the “Copernican Revolution” represented by Vatican II, the conciliar Popes are preaching that the Church should gravitate around man and no long around God, as she did thus far. It is not surprising, then, that the revolutionary world is happy with this general apostasy and wants to reward those who promote it. Here is the explanation why the world gives the medal of liberty to Leo XIV (see article below).
Let us not forget that Our Lord said: “If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you. If you had been of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” (Jo 15: 18-19)
Are the conciliar Popes followers of Our Lord or of the world?

Pope Leo to receive Liberty Medal for promoting religious liberty
On July 3, 2026, Pope Leo will receive the 38th annual Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center, on the eve of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.
“The award recognizes the Holy Father’s lifelong work promoting religious liberty and freedom of conscience and expression around the world, ideals enshrined by America’s founders in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution,” said the National Constitution Center in a statement.
The ceremony will take place outside the Center on Independence Mall in Philadelphia, and the Pope intends to deliver live acceptance remarks virtually from the Vatican through a livestream.

Shocking New Fatima Basilica
Hello dear friends from Tradition in Action,
Today I was watching the mass on TV in the new basilica of Fátima and I was shocked. I didn't know the new temple - which is one of the most visited in the world - but I was shocked given that it has practically no Catholic religious symbols at all. Even the crosses and crucifixes that appear are "embarrassing." They are generally just two very thin juxtaposed lines that you can barely see or understand, especially in a building as large as that.
And the few Catholic images that appear in the said sanctuary are bizarre or ugly and grotesque images, such as a supposed "crucified Christ," a central figure in the building. It does not look at all like the face of Our Lord as it has always been understood by the Church, it looks like another person and is twisted or even evil, or images without color.
The only traditional thing is a gigantic Byzantine mosaic which also lacks color and seems out of place (the architect of the building was a eastern "Orthodox"), I went to do some research online.
The exterior is the same and instead of having a roof/vault or tower pointing to the sky, it is round and shallow, appearing to make no reference whatsoever to Heaven.
It is known that over the years Fátima has become an inter-religious icon, and the organizational structure of the Catholic Church today has no intention of hiding this. Instead it openly promotes it in one of the main symbols of the place, it seems rather to hide Catholicism so that everyone feels welcome except serious Catholicism... shocking!
It's all like you at TIA say relating to the progressivism and ecumenism in the Church. Who says otherwise aren't blind; they are all liars, on this point things are totally evident!
Thanks for your work and help.

I am writing to you, to tell you that as a young traditional Catholic woman (26 years old), I greatly appreciate your writings concerning modesty, for both men and women.
For many years, I have tried conveying the same message that you share, regarding feminine modesty especially, and have been exceedingly grieved at the many unfavorable, often angry responses I have received in return for what I deem to be charitable corrections, and loving instructions given out of the goodness of my heart.
Although I do not wish such experiences on anyone, it has been encouraging and vindicating, in a sense, for me to see that I am not the only one; that you also have had to encounter and handle such things.
How rare it is for women to genuinely care about the eternal salvation of one another, to such an extent as not to shrink from correcting each other! The charity and grace with which you handled the objection of a woman on modesty (the one who criticized you for commenting on the clothes of young persons present at a pro-life rally) was a wonderful example to me, to remain at peace and to persevere, despite obstacles that come in one’s way.
Thanks be to God above all, and thank you also, for humbly and lovingly responding to His call; for being a witness to our dear Divine Lord’s eternal maxims of morality, and for representing that chaste, yet strong love that should animate the souls of all women, in imitation of Our Blessed Mother of Sorrows.
May Our Lord and Our Lady continue to bless you, and may they keep you for all eternity.
Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary, with my best wishes for a most holy Lenten season,
G.T.
