What Can I Do Facing the Crisis
in the Church?

WhatPeopleAreSaying02_Cir_sm.jpg - 24011 Bytes
TIA,

Thank you for the very clear information I received from your website. I personally have been struggling for some time to make sense of my beloved Catholic Church becoming less and less Catholic while at the same time my own personal faith, devotion and reverence has been growing stronger. I finally reached a point where I need to know what is going on??!!

After a few weeks of research I’ve got a better idea and now many things make sense even though it is quite frightening.

I have attempted to discuss various issues with a few close friends and my devoted Parish Priest, but I was surprised to find that I couldn’t get a fair or reasonable hearing. It seems everyone I know is basically accepting of the changes made by Vatican II, that the the SSPX is disobedient and taboo, etc. etc. etc. I am now freeling quite alone and somewhat separated from my parish friends and priest, although I love them very much.

What am I to do? I am 100% devoted to Jesus, His Truth and His Church. I would shed my blood for Him.

I would really appreciate your reply.

     God bless you.

We would suggest that you read We Resist You to the Face. Many readers of this book say that it is one of the most all-encompassing syntheses that has been written about Vatican II and the religious orientation of the conciliar Popes: John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul II.

The overview of the post-Vatican II era and the breadth of the crisis in the Church that it presents can assist you. First, it will help you to see clearly in this confused religious situation. Second, it can help you to formulate good answers and arguments for those you speak with about such a crisis.

In this work, the authors propose a dialogue with the Holy Father - that was never accepted - to shed light on the apparent or real contradicton between many of the attitudes of the conciliar Popes and the prior Magisterium of the Church. Until this dialogue is established and the contradiction explained, they declare that in conscience they cannot follow the new orientation in the points that clash with the previous Magisterium. Therefore, on these matters they will resist, following the example of St. Paul with St. Peter, and many other Saints who resisted bad teachings of Popes.

You will also find some articles describing historical prececents of saints who resisted bad teachings of Popes.

This plus constant prayer to Our Lady asking her to keep us on the narrow path of fidelity are the two suggestions we offer you, along with all our consideration.

     Cordially,
