Benedict on Board with Francis’ Visit to Ur
Dear TIA,
For those who missed it, PM (pope emeritus) Benedict came out with another interview insisting he is no longer pope:
“It was a difficult decision,” Benedict told Corriere della Sera, an Italian newspaper, on Feb. 28, the eight anniversary of the day in which his resignation became effective. “But I took it in full consciousness, and I think I did well. Some of my slightly ‘fanatical’ friends are still angry, they did not want to accept my choice.”
“I think of the conspiracy theories that followed it: There were those who said it was the fault of the Vatileaks scandal, some of a conspiracy by the gay lobby, some because of the conservative Lefebvrian theologian Richard Williamson. They don’t want to believe in a conscious choice. But my conscience is fine,” he said.
That still won't suffice for the Benevacantists, I image.
He is also approving the trip of Francis to Ur (see your recent article), which in effect means he's also approving the unity of the three religions (here and here) founded by Abraham.
Why can't Catholics see it's the same Revolution promoted inside the Church by JPII, Benedict and Francis? Your Mattei series by Patrick Odou is good for pointing this out clearly.

Article on Fulton Sheen
Dear Sir or Madam,
I've read about Arch. Fulton Sheen in an article that you wrote way back (I forgot which one) where you exposed the true face of that man and you questioned the authenticity of his promotion to be "canonized" and I agreed with you 100%. I am looking for that article.
Please show me where to find it. What's that archive under now?
Thank you so much for your defending the true Holy Catholic Church and exposing the fake shepherd for what he is.
God bless you and your work.
K.V.
TIA responds:

To Wear Sandals or Not
Hello!
Re: Are Bare Legs for Women Revolutionary?
I just read the article regarding bare legs and I have just one problem with it.
I do agree that fashions have become less and less modest in the past century, and that Hollywood has had much to do with it.
My daughters have worn skirts all of their life, and one of them even sews her own dresses, including her own swim dress. My boys wear pants almost exclusively, some even loathe to wear blue jeans.
The issue that I have though, is requiring stockings for modesty. The main argument that I have is that Our Lady has appeared bare footed many times to visionaries. Also, in the brief research I have done, stockings weren't widely used until the late 16th century, and started with men, the nobility, and rich. There were leg coverings before that, but mainly to protect from the elements.
There is a place for everything, and if a dress isn't very long, stockings should be worn to special events/Mass, but saying it is immodest to wear sandals in the heat of summer would be going a bit far.
Jesus wore sandals, and sometimes none. I think there is a difference between being prudent and being prudish, and fashion invented in Europe can be impractical for other climates. I feel America had leaned towards protestant prudishness for so long that when the pendulum swung the other way, reason was lost.
I thank you for all of your hard work in putting together this website! I even find my children reading your articles often.
In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
G.L.
TIA responds:
Hello G.L.,
Thank you for your e-mail stressing many points we have in common. We are glad to know that in your family conservative customs are practiced.
Regarding your objection against our position on sandals, it seems to come from a misunderstanding.
When Dr. Horvat recommended in passing the use of closed shoes and criticized sandals in her article, she was referring to what are today called "strappy sandals," which you can see in the pictures below. They are worn by modern women as a way to bring more attention to their bare legs. Therefore, Dr. Horvat's criticism refers specifically to a present day Western fashion.
Her criticism is not against Eastern customs that include the wearing of traditional sandals or against customs of religious orders of wearing sandals as part of their habit as a practice of poverty.
So, obviously it was not her intention to criticize Our Lord's sandals or Our Lady custom to appear without shoes.
Cordially,

Strappy sandals today are a way to bring more attention to a woman's bare legs
