Death Row Inmates ‘Entitled’
to Psychiatric Care
A court system gone haywire, in complete disarray, we all know that is what we have today. A recent news report illustrates not only how far the lunacy in the court system has gone, but for me indicates how feminism has influenced today’s laws for the worse.
First, the example: In December, a Federal District Court ordered the State to provide inpatient hospital care to severely mentally ill inmates on death row at San Quentin. (1) Without any legislative review, State officials in California got busy to obey the omnipotent court ruling.
It isn’t enough to treat them in their cells, the lawyers argued. So, they will open a 40-bed hospital at San Quentin to provide proper round-the-clock inpatient psychiatric care for these mentally ill criminals. After court-ordered mental health screenings of all 720 condemned men at San Quentin, 37 lucky were qualified as madmen for admission to the psychiatric unit. The report noted there is bound to be more room needed for additional patients; in that case, medical facilities at other prisons will be used.
This cost will be covered with taxpayers’ money to protect the “rights” of criminals so violent and vile as to deserve the death penance - by the way, something not lightly delivered in our days.
We are talking about criminals like Justin Helzer, who alleged his brother was God and helped him kill five people. Helzer was found by San Quentin doctors to be delusional and schizophrenic and often refused medication. In 2010, he blinded himself by jabbing pens through the sockets of his eyes. In 2013, his fourth suicide attempt succeeded; he hanged himself last year with a bed sheet. He was getting therapy in his San Quentin cell…
Federal Courts have ruled that it is unconstitutional to execute people who are not aware of what is happening to them. So, what it boils down to is this: We must cure mentally ill death row patients to make them executable. It’s a basic fundamental “right” according to San Francisco prisoners' rights lawyer Michael Bien, who argued the San Quentin case in court last fall. (2)
Where else in the world would there be court orders to build a psychiatric hospital for condemned prisoners? I wonder. Its seems more humane and reasonable, given that California is also under court orders to reduce the population in its overcrowded prisons, to simply offer them priests and a chance for absolution, and then execute them.
Of course, today executing the prisoners on death row is not even considered an option. California, with the nation's largest death row, has not killed a prisoner since 2006.
Feminist influence
What we are seeing here, I believe, is a consequence of the feminist influence on society.
More and more, we are seeing laws enacted concerned about the “rights” of men, women children and even animals, based on feminine emotional and biased arguments rather than virile wiser reasoning, which assures the common good of society. That is, the laws follow more the spirit and reasoning of women than men.
When God wants to chastise nations, we read in Isaiah 3, He allows it to be ruled by women and children:
“And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
“And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbor: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honorable. …
“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”
I believe that is the punishment we are suffering today. Ludicrous laws grounded on a puerile feminine sentimentality for a godless society.
