In past days people had a sense of their own dignity and it showed in their behavior - both public and private. They were aware that even the smallest action is important because we are being watched by God, His Angels and His Saints.
Unfortunately, most people today have lost this awareness. They adore spontaneousness and are focused on themselves, their own pleasures and enjoyments. They have lost decorum in their private lives, which has led to the lack of control in public also. This is what we observe above when presidential candidate Senator John McCain is caught making an outlandish grimace during a debate in 2008.
Perhaps by appearing so ridiculous he transferred many of his admirers' ballots to his opponent.
Don't make grimaces anywhere - especially in public and particularly when there are cameras about. You will be seen and always remembered as a clownish, ridiculous sort of person.
